The Lote 44 Malbec encapsulates all that is great about Mendoza. This particular example comes from vineyards planted at some 4000ft above sea level. This, combined with 250 days of sun a year, results in a deep, fruity red red with a fresh acidity and supple tannins. In a word, yummy.

Mendoza isn't just about Malbec. The altitude also provides great conditions for grown chardonnay which is concentrated but remains fresh. Pulenta's example made using 100% estate fruit is a brilliant effort which is sure to convert many members of the 'ABC' club.
