Our very own home-grown juice is starting to get a bit of a name for itself. Having won many awards against its Champagne counterparts in the last few years, the world is starting to acknowledge that English Sparkling is pretty darn impressive. The wine industry is the UK's fastest growing agricultural sector, up by 31% to 9.3 million bottles produced in 2021. There are over 8,000 acres dedicated to vines in England and Wales, and although the majority are producing sparkling wine (69%), there is an increasing number of still wines being produced too (31%). There's never been a better time to fall in love with English wine.
