Auckland
Lebanese, Croatian, and English winemakers established the Auckland wine region in the early 1900's, making it one of the oldest wine regions in New Zealand. Set over a large geographical area, this region is diverse in soils and climate, producing a range of varied and spectacular wines. Set across three subregions - Waiheke Island, West Auckland, and Matakana, all have grown an excellent reputation in the wine world for international grape varieties as well as indigenous styles too.
