The 2010 Chateau Rouget from Pomerol is a precise and quietly powerful expression of a standout Right Bank vintage. The long, cool ripening of 2010 delivered freshness, depth and exceptional balance, all captured with clarity here. Under the direction of the Labruyère family, the focus is on purity of fruit and gentle extraction, allowing the Merlot led terroir to shine. Expect layered black cherry, plum and blackberry with cocoa, graphite and subtle floral notes. The palate is structured yet silky, with fine grained tannins and impressive length. Still youthful but already expressive, it pairs beautifully with roast duck, beef fillet or mushroom and truffle dishes.
