Tasting Notes
Vinous 90-92
(from a normal crop of about 35 hectoliters per hectare): Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Restrained aromas of dark berries and bitter chocolate. Sweeter and more concentrated than the Chaboeufs, offering expressive, slightly high-toned flavors of black fruits, licorice, violet and minerals. Still a bit youthfully chunky but more relaxed and expressive than the Confuron ’16s from badly frosted vineyards. Finishes with a serious, broad dusting of tannins and lingering notes of violet and dark chocolate.
