A refined Pauillac that marries structure with elegance. Blackcurrant, plum and cassis mingle with cedar, graphite and a hint of tobacco. The palate is poised and classical, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and a long, harmonious finish.
Perfect alongside roast lamb, venison, or a rich beef stew.

Tasting Notes
Vinous 92
The 2017 Haut-Batailley is drinking well at the moment. Displaying quite irresistible raspberry and wild strawberry fruit on the nose, this is well-defined with touches of white pepper and cedar emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple opening, hints of meat juices infusing the red fruit as it moves into its secondary phase, but there is plenty of depth and vigor on the finish to suggest that it will give pleasure for many years.
