The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is magnificent, bursting from the glass with prominent licorice, ripe red fruits, rosewater and garrigue. Totally alluring yet super-serious, the distinct 2022 is a full-throttle Clos Saint-Jean, packing elevated flavor concentration without going overboard. A floral orange blossom lift accompanies the long and complex finish. Outstanding.
