Keller Riesling RR Rheinhessen 2022 is part of Klaus-Peter Keller’s early-release dry Riesling range, positioned between the estate wine and the single-vineyard bottlings. The “RR” typically comes from parcels in the Kirchspiel and Hubacker areas that don’t make it into the Grosse Lage selections, but still carry the same meticulous farming and low yields.
The 2022 vintage in Rheinhessen was warm and dry, yet Keller’s deep limestone soils and careful canopy management helped retain acidity. The result is a Riesling with clear citrus and stone fruit, firm mineral drive and the trademark Keller precision without the intensity or ageing demands of the grand cru wines. It is built for earlier drinking while still having the structure to develop over five to seven years.
