Vinous 96
The 2022 Gattinara Valferana is gorgeous. What a wine. Ample and layered, the 2022 impresses with its notable mid-palate sweetness and body. Crushed red berry fruit, blood orange, mint, spice and rose petal build beautifully into the finish. There’s plenty of tannin, but the Valferana has ample fruit presence and body to match. I can’t wait to see how this ages.
