Tasting Notes
Vinous 94
The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a noble reduction on the nose. It does not mask the terroir or denude its delineation, though it clearly needs more time in the bottle. The palate is very well balanced with a reductive entry. A little brûlée in style, tangy marmalade and an almost waxy texture towards the finish. Decent length, but returning to my glass several times, I am drinking more the winemaking than the wine at the moment. Bottled under Diam 10. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
