The Sadie Family Columella 2022 from Swartland is a compelling expression of place, crafted by Eben Sadie and his team. This Rhône-style blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault and Tinta Barocca is drawn from a dozen old-vine plots rooted in slate, gravel and granite soils. The 2022 vintage is the most elegant yet, with lower alcohol and an effortless balance of depth and finesse. Expect lifted floral and spice notes with bright red fruit and a fine, mineral finish. Beautiful with roast game, lamb cutlets with herbs or earthy mushroom dishes.
