Vinous 93
The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru comes across slightly more opulent on the nose: lightly honeyed, acacia, almond paste and light camomile scents unfold in the glass. I just want a bit more minéralité. The palate is tangy on the entry, quite saline, a broad-shouldered Bâtard-Montrachet with a feisty finish that needs to be tamed. Unruly. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
