The Sadie Family Treinspoor from Swartland is a pure Tinta Barocca sourced from red clay and quartz-inflected soils near Malmesbury. Under Eben Sadie’s direction the fruit is fermented with roughly half whole clusters and matured in neutral wood and concrete to emphasise finesse and site. The profile typically offers damson, fig and wild berry notes with graphite and iron hints, supported by firm, finely grained tannins and racy acidity. Best paired with beef carpaccio, lamb ragu, aged hard cheeses or mushroom and truffle dishes.
