The 2024 Pinot Noir Copper Pot comes mostly from high-density plantings of Pinot in Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge and includes 25% whole cluster. The fruit is sourced in conjunction with Gabrielskloof. It offers perfumed red cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose, with a touch of blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied, with quite thick tannins that exert some weight. Slightly confit-like red fruit leads to a spicy finish. Fine, but early drinking.
