Although Brancaia owns vineyards in the traditional regions of Chianti Classico and Morellino di Scansano, the wines are quite modern. Il Blu marries the local Sangiovese with Merlot and a drop of Cabernet Franc which really gives the wine aromatic and textural depth. Now at its peak, this is a wine of real interest.
