Verve, from our friend's at Sanguis in Santa Barbara, is mainly Grenache, filled out with a bit of Syrah for weight and roussanne for texture and aromatic complexity. There isn't really an old world comparison but I suppose it's like a cross between an old-school Cote Rotie and a Chateauneuf. All we know is it's delicious!
