Chateau Puygueraud is located in the Cotes des Francs at an altitude of 115m, which might not sound like much but puts it amongst the highest vineyards of the whole right bank. Planted largely with Merlot, the focus here is purity of fruit and softness of texture, things which are synonymous with the Thienpont name. Unsurprisingly, the 2016 delivers an outstanding wine for the money.
