The volcanic soils of the foothills of Mount Etna provide the perfect home for Nerello Mascalese. Contrada Pino farms a tiny plot of 120-year old vines and uses ancient techniques. The grapes are stomped by foot and fermented in open vats before being aged in old 500-litre oak barrels. This is a beautiful Sicilian red to savour.
