The Grosses Gewachs, or GGs, are Germany's Grand Cru vineyards. Unlike the Mosel, where the Rieslings can range from bone dry to incredibly sweet, the GGs from the Rheinhessen are fermented to dryness which reveals their individual terroir. Deep and intensely mineral, Wagner-Stempel's Hollberg is a hugely impressive wine, delicious today but will age effortlessly.
