For obvious reasons, the Coudoulet is thought of as a Baby Beaucastel. The vineyards are very similar, strewn with large Galets, stones which absorb the heat of the day and release it slowly during the night which helps the vines early in the cycle. After fermentation the wines sees 6 months in large oak barrels which helps give the wine a sense of roundness. Quite delicious.
