Tasting Notes
Vinous 94
The 2018 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru has a pretty and open bouquet with subtle wild peach and orange pith notes. It is well-defined and demonstrates nicely integrated oak. The palate is well-balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh. One of the more saline wines of the flight with superb length on the finish. This has class and breeding. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2042
Robert Parker 94
The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is one of the most powerful, muscular wines in the range, delivering notes of pear, citrus oil, oyster shells, beeswax and white flowers. Full-bodied, deep and layered, with a textural attack, racy acids and a long, mineral finish, it should prove one of the most long-lived wines in Fevre’s portfolio this year.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2045
