Valdeorras literally translates to Valley of God and supposedly this is the place the Roman's first planted grapes in Galicia. Today this hot arid region sometimes named the 'gateway to Galicia' has revolutionised to become one of the most exciting places for white wine in Spain. Thanks to the rebirth of the native Godello grape in the 1970's, this versatile grape has earnt his region iconic status.
