Traditional Cornas in all its glory. Franck Balthazar works with old vines and a gentle hand in the cellar, and Casimir shows Syrah at its most authentic. Blackberry, black cherry and plum mingle with pepper, smoked meat and a touch of olive tapenade. The palate is dark and brooding, with firm tannins and a savoury, mineral edge that gives it real drive. Powerful, honest and built to age – this is Cornas without compromise.
